Known Issues and Limitations

  • The IPv6 tunneling page will be removed from Network Center.
  • Safe Access, VPN Plus Server reports will be rotated when their storage volumes reach 200MB.
  • iOS clients might fail to connect to Synology Router when the wireless security encryption is set at WPA2/WPA3-Personal.
  • Customized policies of Parental Control of devices on SRM 1.1 cannot be migrated to Safe Access on SRM 1.2.
  • If the Synology Router is set at Wireless Client Mode, then the web filter and security protection of Safe Access might not work correctly.
  • SRM cannot back up and restore IPTV settings from RT2600ac or RT1900ac to MR2200ac.
  • There cannot be two mesh Wi-Fi systems in one subnet.
  • Wi-Fi points can only be added into Wi-Fi systems via Wi-Fi. If Ethernet backhaul is connected, please remove the cable before adding new Wi-Fi points.
  • Intrusion Prevention not be supported on SRM 1.2 and above.
  • In an Ethernet backhaul environment, the primary Wi-Fi point and additional Wi-Fi points must be conneted through an Ethernet cable, and only the Wi-Fi points at the end of the connection can be connected wirelessly.
