Advertised Speed of 5Ghz band

Theoretical 802.11ac speed on 5Ghz band (using 80Mhz channel, 256-QAM, 400 ns GI):

  • 3 spatial streams x 433.3 mbps/stream = 1299.9 mbps

Note

V3_2.4.0 Build 20181121 (2018-12-07)

New Features/Improvements:

  • Add Band Steering/LED Locate/Client rate limit/SSID rate limit Function in Standalone mode.
  • The SSID isolation function is promoted to the Guest Network Function. Wireless Clients connected with Guest SSID can’t communicate with each other and the local network.
  • UI optimization.
  • Add “More Client Detail Log” function at Management->Log Settings->Enable Server to output more client information, such as client MAC address, SSID and AP MAC address.
  • Change the HTTP port of Portal authentication page from 80 to 22080 in standalone mode.

Bug Fixed:

  • Fixed the bug that HTTPS redirection of Portal authentication page will be inoperative when the IP address of Omada EAP and wireless clients belong to different subnet.
  • Fixed the bug that HTTPS redirection of Portal authentication page will be inoperative when Omada Controller and Omada EAP belong to different subnet.
  • Fixed the bug that when we change the IP in standalone mode, the portal authentication page may not pop up successfully.
  • Fixed the bug that the wireless clients may not be redirected to portal authentication page by surfing HTTPS website if we enable Management VLAN function.
  • Fixed the bug that wireless clients connected with 2.4G SSID of EAP may receive broadcast packets from other VLAN.
  • The rate limit of Portal function may not take effect sometimes.

  • Supports HTTPS redirection of portal authentication page.
  • Facebook Portal now intercepts HTTPS access unless you pass the authentication
  • Omada Controller will create Free Authentication Policy for the External Web Portal Server and External Portal Server automatically.
  • Supports rate limit function for a single client. (If you have set SSID, Client, Voucher rate limit at the same time, and the minimum limit value will take effect.)
  • Restricts local resources access of wireless clients which did not pass the authentication.
  • Decreased the synchronization update time of Omada Controller when the IP address of EAP is changed.
  • EAP will report Client RSSI information to Omada Controller.
  • Optimized Rouge AP detection process.

Bug Fixed:

  • Fixed the incorrect IP address displaying of some clients in Omada Controller.
  • Fixed the bug that clients may still be able to connect with EAP after blocking the clients in the clients list.
  • Fixed the bug that clients can use Facebook and Whatsapp APP before passing the portal authentication.
