Wireless Performance Explained

Advertised Speed of 5Ghz band

This is the world’s first 8 spatial stream (double of competitors) wifi system. Meaning, it can send 8 spatial streams from the wifi to the device(s) at once.

The marketing team is telling us that the wifi system will broadcast on 5Ghz band using the 80Mhz+80Mhz channel.

Theoretical 802.11ax speed on 5Ghz band (using 80Mhz+80Mhz channel, 1024-QAM, 800 ns GI):

  • 8 spatial streams x 600 mbps/stream = 4800 mbps data rate

This model includes a 5 gbps network port to handle this wireless data rate of 4800 mbps.
